Lockdown has eased a little – but we are still restricted. We can meet in groups of up to 6 people from different households, but have to stay socially distanced. We still can’t touch. We can’t do a lot of the things that would happen at a Mother Blessing, or Blessingway ceremony. We could only paint flowers onto the bellies of pregnant people that we lived with! We couldn’t braid a mother-to be’s hair, or massage her shoulders or her feet. We are still unable to connect in a physical way.
So for the next two months I’m making you an offer:
- A 1 hour online ceremony, conducted on Zoom for up to a maximum of 12 people (plus me)
- Including activities that have been tested and work well with physical distancing.
- Led by me, personalised for you.
- In person, a Mother Blessing ceremony would last longer than an hour and have more activities. It would normally cost £200.
- For July and August 2020, I am offering an online ceremony for only £85.
- This can be paid for by one person, or a friendship group could buy it as a gift
- If you would have been getting together for a baby shower – why not try a blessing instead?
